Smart SourceSmart Source Stainless Steel Bottles

CAN I PUT MY BOTTLE IN THE DISHWASHER?

Hand-wash recommended with non-abrasive soap. Leave cap off and allow to air dry. Your bottle is dishwasher safe, but the harsh environment may cause wear to the paint.

HOW DO I WASH MY BOTTLE?

We recommend hand-washing your stainless steel water bottle and lid with a non-abrasive dishsoap. Always let your bottle air dry with the cap off. For a more thorough cleaning, add 1 teaspoon white vinegar or baking soda to the bottle, fill 3/4 of the way with warm water, close and gently shake. Rinse and let your bottle air dry with the cap off.

CAN I PUT ALCOHOL OR ACIDIC LIQUIDS IN MY BOTTLE?

Yes, you can put alcohol and acidic liquids in your bottle. Our bottles are made of food-grade stainless steel which does not leach and will not be damaged by alcohol or acidic liquids. Be sure to thoroughly clean you bottle and cap after filling it with anything other than water to remove residue which may spoil.

IS THERE A LINING IN MY BOTTLE?

No. Our bottles are made from food-grade stainless steel which is also used in food, beer and winemaking and does not leach so our bottles do not require a lining.

CAN I PUT HOT LIQUIDS IN MY BOTTLE?

We do not recommend putting hot liquids in your stainless steel bottle. Hot liquids will not damage your bottle but, because our single wall bottles are not insulated, the temperature of the bottle will become the same as the liquid inside and could cause injury to your hands.

CAN I FREEZE MY BOTTLE?

Do not put your stainless steel bottle in the freezer. Liquids expand during the freezing process and therefore will damage your bottle even if you only fill it halfway or leave the lid off. Instead, fill the bottle with ice cubes the day you need it, which will slowly melt, providing ice cold water.
